While I’ve got major love for most musical productions out of Sweden, something I’m much less a fan of is the word “moist.” Long ago banished to my Island of Words That Shall Remain Unused, “moist” joins such castaways as “panties” and “belly.”

But just as the Tanya Donelly-led ’90s band required an exception, today I must make another. Swedish DJ Moist has remixed Butterfly Boucher‘s single, “5678!” and the resulting electro-disco groove is one I cannot ignore.

The Moist Remix of “5678!” premiered on the Record Store Day homepage yesterday, soundtracking a music video that Boucher compiled from fans who’d posted “20 Seconds of Pure Dance” clips to YouTube at her request. Though I enjoy a good get-down, I’ll never pretend to know what possesses some people to hit record and share with the world. Sure, there’s a certain satisfaction in being selected, but really, the real star here is the remix, even if I’d rather not say its name out loud.
