Every teardrop may be a waterfall, as the new Coldplay single goes, but for the song’s new stop-motion performance video, nary a drop of H2O is in sight.
Instead, the band’s backdrop is an abandoned building where a colorful flow of graffiti and paint splashes pops in both dingy daylight and black light.
It’s certainly eye-catching, though might I suggest an alternate version in which the camera focuses solely on Guy Berryman? That would be wa-wa-wa-wa-wonderful.
Coldplay released the Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall EP over the weekend, which features two other new tunes, “Major Minus” and “Moving To Mars.” Still no word on when Coldplay’s proper fifth studio album will appear.
Purchase Coldplay – Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall EP via iTunes, Amazon MP3.
