It’s been a while since I checked in on Friends Electric, who did a fantastic cover of Adele’s “Someone Like You” a few months back.

Well, the Welsh electropop group has returned with a new single and video, “Fireworks.” Like the titual explosives, the song is all sparkly at the start, with vocalist Dan Thomas taking aim for the sky when the chorus strikes. The video, however, keeps things grounded — in more ways than one — before ending with a bang (or three).
