Cee Lo Green’s “Fuck You” is the musical gift that keeps on giving. Over on YouTube, chicagoCTArider has posted this inspired mashup of the GRAMMY nominated song with Chicago’s 1972 #3 hit, “Saturday In The Park.”
Green shared the video on his Facebook page, saying they’d just stumbled upon it.
The “Forget Saturday” pairing is a pretty professional job, so it’ll be interesting to see if takes off and chicagoCTArider reveals his or her true identity.
The username references the CTA, an acronym for the Chicago Transit Authority, the bus and train agency that briefly shared a name with the band, whose members had met as students at the city’s DePaul University. After then-Mayor Richard J. Daley threatened legal action against the burgeoning jazz-rockers, the band shortened its name to Chicago, and the rest is easy-listening history.
