“Christmastime for the Jews” is a Saturday TV Funhouse segment that originally aired during the December 17, 2005 episode of Saturday Night Live.
Animated in the Rankin-Bass stop-motion style, “Christmastime for the Jews” is sung by Darlene Love, herself no stranger to holiday tunes. Her signature “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),” produced by Phil Spector in 1963, remains one of the best the season has to offer. And this tongue-in-cheek song about what Jewish folks do on Christmas Eve is an inspired nod to Spector’s storied Wall of Sound.
