A couple of weeks ago I described Purple Crush‘s latest single “Sweat” as a more muscular take on early Madonna, also adding that it wouldn’t have sounded out of place on Confessions On A Dancefloor, an album that reveled in such newly rendered retro.

Now Purple Crush has gone one better, mining a major Madonna moment between those two eras for a mashup of “Sweat.” The New York City duo has married their ode to glistening to Ms. Ciccone’s 1990 strike-a-pose masterpiece, “Vogue.”

Pitching up Isla Cheadle’s “Sweat” vocals in the final minute to better match Madonna’s own “Vogue” outro, Purple Crush’s production magic becomes pure pop perfection. It’s a mashup that’s best heard on a good set of speakers, or at least through a quality pair of headphones. Turn it up, and let your body go with the flow of sweat:
